SSPP BBQ Cook-Off

EVENT:	3rd Annual SSPP Heavenly Smokers Backyard BBQ Cook-Off & Beer Tasting
DATE & TIME:	Friday, 6/3/11 & Saturday, 6/4/11 (see below for detailed schedules)
LOCATION:	Alton-Wood River Sportsmen's Club, 3109 Godfrey Rd., Godfrey, IL 62035
DESCRIPTION:	Please come join us for a weekend of fun, entertainment and celebration for the entire family. The weekend will be filled with food, beverages, music, games and contests for both children and adults.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

FRIDAY, JUNE 3rd, 2011 -

    5:30pm 5K Trail Run/1 Mile Walk - “Trails & Ales” @ Sportsman Club – run starts @ 5:30pm and finishes at the beer tasting pavilion.
    6:00pm - Dinner: Served by Bigelo's Bistro of Edwardsville.
    6:00-9:00pm - Beer Tasting: In the beer tent and featuring over 70 different beers.
    6:00pm - Basket Raffle: Friday & Saturday (drawing held on Saturday).
    LIVE MUSIC - Bands: “Matt Taul & Friends”- 6pm to 9pm under the pavilion, “The Undecided” – 9pm to 1am on the main stage.

SATURDAY, JUNE 4th, 2011

    Early Morning - BBQ Contest: Contestants begin cooking! Cooking for the 3rd Annual SSPP heavenly Smokers Backyard BBQ Cook-Off. Cash prizes for winners of each category.
    12:00pm-Throughout Afternoon Basket Raffles.
    12:00pm - BBQ Judging begins for ribs, chicken, pork, and brisket.
    All Day - Games & Contests: Games & contests for both children and adults.
    12 pm to 2:30pm - “The Plain Label Band” Main stage.
    3:00pm - Talent Show – SSPP children talent show.
    4:00pm - Dinner: BBQ dinner featuring 2 BBQ samples(choose from –ribs, chicken, pork, or brisket), 2 side dishes, and desert      Dinner performance by select members of the Alton Symphony Orchestra.
    6:30-7:30pm - FredBird from the St. Louis Cardinals!.
    6:30pm - LIVE Oral Auction.
    Drawing for $8,000 in total cash prizes.(2,000 tickets must be sold to give away the     full $8,000. If less than 2,000 tickets are sold, the prize amounts will be adjusted accordingly.
    LIVE MUSIC - “Johnny Hernandez” 7:30 to 9pm on the main stage and “Fat Finger”, 9pm to 1am on the main stage.
